"Ka Hula Piko," a Celebration of the Hula at the Papuhaku Beach Park in West Molokai, Hawaii!

Explore Molokai, Hawaii

Aloha! Welcome to Molokai, Hawaii! Adventurers! Explorers! Backpackers! Romantic honeymooners! Ecological tourists and visitors! Welcome to Hawaii's last frontier in the archipelago!

There is an island in Hawaii in which the residents have pursued their unique lifestyles. As described in one website, it is written: "An island where there is so little automobile traffic, there's not a single traffic light. There's no mall, no elevators and no neon. No burger wars here. Shopping is done in small, friendly businesses in Kaunakakai, the largest town, and in the villages of Kaulapu'u and Maunaloa. Life here is slow and relaxed. It's rural and peaceful. It's like stepping back in time 50 years. It's a place like no other."

They are right! We have seen the man-made buildings with our own eyes. When you take a vacation, visit or tour Molokai, you cannot find a commercial and residential building higher than the highest coconut trees on the island. There are hundreds of coconuts and mangoes (in season) which fell from the trees, but no one is making a commercial enterprise out of them. There is no shopping mall. No movie theater. No disco or super club.

There are only 2 main, 2-lane asphalt roads between east and west and between north and south. There is no vehicle traffic. There is no traffic light unlike in the overcrowded Honolulu, Hawaii's capital in the most populated Oahu island which is about 56 miles from Kaunakakai, Molokai!

The residents in Molokai and some visitors from nearby islands and few countries celebrated the 18th Annual Ka Hula Piko Festival on May 16, 2009, which was held at the Papuhaku Beach Park in the western side of Molokai island. The world famous hula dance originated in Molokai. There were varieties of artistic, colorful and graceful hula dances, Hawaiian music and other entertainment, foods, drinks, arts and crafts which the people in Molokai made.

Besides the cultural, ecological and historical attractions in Molokai, you will find hundreds of other sights and sounds on the island in which you, your family and friends are the only few people exploring out to see and enjoy the beach, coral reefs, highest sea cliff in the world, mountains, valleys and waterfalls, and have fun under the sun; its warm weather throughout the year. There are about 8,000 people living, working and/or retiring in the entire Molokai!

The Molokai Hoe is one of the famous annual events. It is an outrigger canoe race between Molokai island to Honolulu, Hawaii. It is more exciting to watch this canoe race than that of the Summer Olympic paddle boat races. Each boat or canoe participants composed of 6-crews change their 3 members at a time, and repeated few times in the middle of the deep sea (probably infested with sharks) between Molokai and Honolulu in Oahu island. Here is one video taken in 2010 of the first outrigger canoe and its crew as they paddled to the finish line in Waikiki beach near the Hawaiian Hilton Hotel.

Although there are some existing and growing tourism and travel-related services as well as on relocation and retirement agencies in Molokai, the main purpose of this web page is to inform and serve certain individuals and groups. It is not to compete with the existing commercial services and agencies, but to assist, guide and support the Bible-believing and practicing Christian individuals and groups in Hawaii, mainland U.S.A. and other countries.

Due to the existing economic and future mega crises and the great tribulation as written about 2000 years ago in the New Testament Bible, and other reliable scientific publications, the Disclosure Projects' lectures, and sources of futuristic or prophetic information, there are some individuals and groups that are "being called out of this world" to prepare. Hundreds of others have been searching too the past decades for something meaningful to pursue in their daily living. They are searching for something much better to work and live for, rather than being mere consumers and employees for the world. They are hoping to know the "hidden" truths on what really are happening here, there and everywhere on Earth which only the few and the mighty elites know in this New World Order.

On the other scenario, some people are keenly observing, continually updating their studies on various interests and subjects. They are hard working and successful in their chosen careers and professions. They have achieved the top level of their own version on the "hierarchy of needs." They are searching and asking for the foresight and vision about the events and things to come, after decades of learning the multitudes of good and bad experiences working with and for the worldly establishments or systems, including being "blind" followers or members of the so-called Christian churches, organizations, etc.

Thus some are planning and organizing to establish a real Bible-based self-sustainable community not just in Hawaii, but also in other islands and continents according to His will. They are praying and hoping that the successful and growing Sabbath-observing, Messianic or the Bible-believing intentional communities in some states and countries would join us in Hawaii or the Philippines ...

Please read the maps, directions and other related information on Molokai. For example, the Visit Moloka'i and VisitMolokai.com are very good and valuable guides to read from before you take a vacation, visit, tour and explore Molokai. If you need additional information, feel free to contact the Trip Advisor, etc.

Here are the additional landscape photographs, the historical and ecological attractions, and the annual Ka Hula Piko Festival held at the Papuhaku Beach Park, about 200 meters from Hawaii's widest and longest ivory and white-colored beach in Molokai. Molokai is the most Hawaiian of all the Paradise Islands in Hawaii!
